There’s a tight feeling that often starts around the heart
or at the back of your throat…
if you can’t get pen to page (or fingers to keys)
fast enough, the queasy feeling in your stomach starts.
Being forced to ‘wait’ in order to get
fresh ideas out of your head and arranged
in the right order
can make you feel even more sick and nauseous.
If you can,
give yourself permission to puke
your words on the page,
then clean up the mess afterwards.
That horrible, anticipatory feeling goes
away much faster.
