This quote particularly resonates with me as a writer.
We have all these story ideas that we’re itching to get out and share
with others but if we let the demands of our profession and our personal life
dictate how we spend our time, we might never pick up a book
that isn’t our own – and that would be a disaster.
As writers we can learn from the craft of other writers both
in and outside of our chosen genre. Reading expands our perception by regarding new
possibilities and allows our mind to do the very thing we hope others will
do with our books – enjoy, learn and remember a new experience.
Don’t forget what drew you to writing in the first place,
our humble beginnings were the spark that lit
the fire 🙂
